we've been together for some time. he still loved me, he just didn't want to. it would have been easier for him to hate me, or better yet to be indifferent to me, but he couldn't and he can't. and i'm glad for that. so, some months ago i packed my dust bunnies and bed demons and headed off to live in a strange and wonderful city called melbourne. and since then i have been shacking up with a strange and wonderful lion in his tiny bedroom where we have created our own universe.

right now he's talking on the phone to my mother, and i can tell he's uncomfortable. i find it ammusing, but i can be cruel like that.
